Sona, raised in Los Angeles, has made Chicago home ever since moving here to attend the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where she met her husband, Bill. With her family rooted in the North Shore of Chicago, Sona has long sought to empower Chicago and Midwest-based tech startups through her work in venture capital.
She has served on the boards of numerous national businesses and universities, devoting her passion, expertise, and judgement to improving the functioning of these mission-driven organizations. Sona has served as a Trustee of Northwestern University since 1999.
